Hexamer Riesling Porphyr 2022
Right after opening
Citrus fruit aromas including lemon come together with petrol notes.
The petrol scent is quite heavy but does not sting the nose.

The first sip woke me up — wow, this is delicious.
The pleasant sweetness and fresh acidity keep the wine light.
The finish is very smooth, delicate, and clean.
Acacia honey lingers as an aftertaste.
Bursting notes of early mandarin orange and plenty of petrol scent.
You can clearly tell it’s a Riesling, but all the elements blend so well that it offers a very positive experience of Riesling.
Ripe Hallabong orange, and the texture you might feel when tearing apart cold grapefruit pulp.
It also feels like peeling fresh pineapple skin.
This wine especially suits summer like now.
Afterwards, there’s a hint of apple mint.
The flavor and balance are so good that the high acidity isn’t very bothersome, but drinking the wine alone might cause some stomach discomfort... Pairing is quite important.
I paired it with assorted Korean pancakes, and despite the sweetness, it didn’t clash with the food. Among them, it went especially well with perilla leaf pancake, chili pepper pancake, sausage pancake, and meat pancake.
